Amsterdam – May 12 2003 – OneStat.com ( http://www.onestat.com ), today reported that Google has a global average usage share of 55.2 percent during the last 2 months. This means that Google is the most popular search engine on the web. Google's global usage share has increased 0.5 percent. The number two search engine on the web, Yahoo, has a global usage share of 21.7 percent.

Amsterdam – April 29 2003 – OneStat.com ( http://www.onestat.com ), today reported that most people use 2 word phrases in search engines. Of all the search phrases world wide, 29.22 percent of the people use 2 word phrases and 24.76 percent use 1 word phrase.

Monday is the most popular day of the week to surf the web according to OneStat.com

Amsterdam – April 9 2003 – OneStat.com ( http://www.onestat.com ), today reported that Monday is the most popular day of the week in the world to surf the web. The second most popular day to surf the web is Tuesday. The study shows that surfers on the web spent more time on the internet during the workweek than at home on the weekends. Internet use worldwide on any weekday is higher than Saturday and Sunday which are the least popular days of the week to surf the internet.

Amsterdam – November 11 2002 – OneStat.com ( http://www.onestat.com ), today reported that  screen resolution 1024 x 768 is the most popular for exploring the internet. The screen resolution 1024 x 768 has reached an all time high  and has risen from 43 percent to 46.1 percent. The 1024 x 768 screen resolution's global usage share has increased 3.1 percent the last 3 months. Users with monitors set to the most common resolution 800 x 600 for web sites have an approximate 34.3 percent global usage share.

The finding has important implications for web site designers because most web sites are designed for a screen resolution of 800 x 600 pixels.
